Virginia makes many government records available, but they remain divided by custodian. New Kent County does not operate a jail. The Sheriff handles arrests and transport, while Pamunkey Regional Jail keeps the local booking and release record. VADOC maintains state custody and supervision information. Courts preserve the orders behind release, and federal agencies use separate locators. This site organizes those official sources and explains which one answers each release question.
